Tunisia: Tunisair sees passenger number increase 36.1% first two months of 2023

The number of passengers carried by “Tunisair” increased by 36.1% between January 1 and February 28, 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, reaching 329,334 passengers.

The load factor was 73.7% compared to 73.56% in 2022, up 0.2 points, according to data published by Tunisair on Wednesday. The national airline achieved a turnover of 154.535 million dinars.

the number of passengers carried by the company in February 2023 rose by 30.7% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching 125,184 passengers. As for the turnover, it amounted to 74.29 million dinars.

In terms of regional distribution, 108,048 passengers come from European countries, making 66% of passenger traffic.

As for the Middle Eastern countries, they represented 13.8% of the passenger traffic, with 22,562 passengers, due to the growth of the Saudi and Egyptian markets and the continuous rise of the Turkish market.

Flights to and from North America (Montreal) brought 2,656 passengers, while those to and from the Maghreb and African countries carried 30,334 passengers.
