Tunisia: Tunisair to submit recovery plan to Government before end of 2012

“The recovery and restructuring plan of Tunisair is ready and will be submitted to the Government by the end of 2012,” the national airline said in a statement released Thursday.

Tunisair has indicated that the plan “will consolidate its position as a leader in air traffic to and from Tunisia, and regain its international reputation.”

In quantitative terms, Tunisair announced that “activity has evolved favorably during the first half of November 2012,” since the number of transported passengers (all activities included) has increased by 18.9% or 138,671 passengers compared to the same period in 2011 and 8.1% compared to 2010.

The load factor from November 1 to 14 November, 2012, is 74.4%, up 2.4 percentage points compared to 2011 and 2 points over to 2010.

The cumulative from January to November 14, 2012 also showed an increase in results with 3,472.886 passengers, up 22.2% compared to 2011 and 3.3% over 2010.

The load factor from January to November 14, 2012 is 73.4%, i.e. a growth of 1.8 percentage points compared to 2011 and 4.8 percentage points compared to 2010.
