Tunisia: Tunisair’s market share and punctuality on the decline

National carrier Tunisair, which has not published its annual accounts since 2018, has just published its activity indicators for the first 9 months of the 2023 financial year.

They show that its market share has fallen. It was 26.6% at the end of the first 9 months of 2022 and has now declined to 24.8% for the same period in 2023.

The punctuality of its fleet has also deteriorated. It was 38% at the end of September 2022 and is now only 33%.

Tunisair’s table only refers to delays of less than 15 minutes.

On the other hand, staff costs have increased. At the end of the 3rd quarter of last year, they cost TND 131.1 million. At the end of the 3rd quarter of 2023, its 3,130 employees cost TND 148 million.
