Tunisia: turnover of TPR up 6%, short-term debt increases 19%

The turnover of the Bayahi Group’s company TPR increased overall by 6% to September 30, 2014, compared to the same period in 2013 to 72.926 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) from 68.789 MTD.

This increase is mainly due to, first, the rise in revenues from local business (+ 5%) or 54,811, 054 TD to 30/09/2014 against 52,395 191DT to 30/09/2013.

Then it resulted from the increase in export sales (+ 10%) or 18,115,017 TD to September 30, 2011 against 16,394,587 TD at September 30, 2013 and production value, which recorded a 7% or 74,238,795 TD to September 30, 2014 against 68,964,987 TD in the same period in 2013.

Bank debt, especially short-term, amounted to 12,873,453 TD in late September 2014, against 10.801 MTD in the same period in 2013, up 19%.

This has not prevented the company to become one of the largest investors on the Tunis Stock Exchange.

The value of investments reached 33.100 MTD until September 30, 2014 from only 31.1 MTD in 2013, up 6%.
