Tunisia: UHD reports profit of more than 25 million dinars in 2021

The company Ulysse Hyper Distribution (UHD) belonging to the UTIC group of its founder Taoufik Chaibi and better known as Carrefour Tunisia has achieved a net profit of €8 million in 2021, against a profit of €5 million in 2021, a growth of 60%.

On the revenue side, Carrefour Tunisia, which operates in three sectors of distribution, namely hypermarkets under the name Carrefour, supermarkets under the name Carrefour Market and Carrefour Express for mini-markets, has achieved in 2020 a turnover of €342 million, against €315 million a year earlier, up €27 million (+8%).

In Tunisian dinars, UHD has generated a net profit of 25.9 million dinars for a turnover of about 1.1 billion dinars.

According to the consolidation scope, the French group Carrefour holds 25% of the capital of the company UHD, the lowest share (with the Belgian subsidiary) among the associated companies.

The net income group share of the French giant of the distribution comes out as a profit of €1.07 billion last year, against €641 million in 2020, a growth of 67%.
