Tunisia’s exports increase by 1.5% at end of November

Tunisia’s exports recorded a growth of 1.5% at the end of November 2025, compared to last year, reaching 57.9 billion dinars, marking a return to the upward trend, thanks to the results recorded during the last three months, emphasized the Heads of overseas Offices of the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX).

They indicated, during the work of the annual forum of Heads of CEPEX offices abroad, held from December 15 to 19, 2025, that Tunisia’s export capacity has approached 23 billion dollars, of which 11.25 billion dollars are untapped.

“In the face of this situation, significant challenges arise for stakeholders in the export system, including the network of commercial representation abroad, to redouble efforts to explore new export opportunities and improve the positioning of Tunisian products in global markets,” they emphasized.

The forum’s work also allowed for presentations on export potential, unexploited opportunities, and promising markets.

Participants presented technical and economic data on the markets covered by the network of commercial representation abroad, in terms of available commercial opportunities and access conditions, in addition to an overview of the promotion programs of various structures operating in the export field for the year 2026.

The heads of Tunisian commercial representations abroad participated in the fourth coordination meeting of the “Tunisia Export Team,” under the chairmanship of Minister of Trade and Export Development, Samir Abid.

Emphasis on startups and promising sectors

The work of the annual forum of Heads of CEPEX commercial representations abroad also included a meeting with the various structures concerned with exports, which allowed for an emphasis on start-ups and a number of promising sectors, such as the automotive components industry, information and communication technologies, the agri-food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and healthcare services.

This meeting, attended remotely by over 50 representatives of economic attachés at Tunisian embassies abroad, was dedicated to presentations on the specificities of the concerned sectors, as well as reviewing the main target markets and opportunities to access them.

The goal is to contribute to supporting strategic export directions and strengthening the presence of Tunisian products and services internationally.

It also aims to provide the diplomatic and commercial representation network with updated information on the Tunisian export offering, to guide their interventions and promotion programs in their accreditation countries towards promising and high value-added sectors.

The program of this annual forum also includes direct meetings between the directors of CEPEX commercial representations abroad and representatives of Tunisian companies from different sectors in Sousse and Sfax.
