Exports of the leather and footwear industries posted an increase of 3.7% during the first eight months of 2013 to 694.4 million dinars, from 669.9 MTD in the same period in 2012.
Regarding imports, they have increased slightly by 2.7% to 459.2 MTD late August 2013, against 447.3 MTD in the same period in 2012.
As to the rate of coverage in the trade balance, it reached 151.2% in the first eight months of the year.
