National crude oil production stood at 629 kt at the end of June 2025, down 9% compared to the end of June 2024, according to the Energy Situation Report for June 2025, published by the National Observatory of Energy and Mines.
This decline affected most of the main fields, namely: Nawara (-54%), Ashtart (-19%), El Hajeb/Guebiba (-19%), Barka (-79%), Gherib (-21%), Halk el Menzel (-13%), Sidi Marzoug (-4%), Hasdrubal (-9%), and Adam (-7%).
Other fields, however, recorded improved production, such as: Ezzaouia (+83%), Gremda/El Ain (+179%), D.S.T (+69%), M.L.D (+12%), and Bir Ben Tartar (+17%).
The average daily oil production fell from 29.6 thousand barrels/day at the end of June 2024 to 27 thousand barrels/day at the end of June 2025.
