About 20 Dakar-bound passengers of Air Senegal were stra nded at the Banjul International Airport, Gambia, following the third cancellati o n of their flight, without any plausible reason, PANA was reliably informed here
Monday. Sources told PANA the passengers booked to travel on the airline since 21 June, but the flight was cancelled and the passenger asked to stand-by to join the nex t flight to Dakar the following day.
On arrival and after boarding the plane the second day, the passengers were aske d to step down and wait because their names were not on the flight manifest.
Sources said those who had to join other flights in Dakar travelled by road to c atch their flight Sunday evening.
Amadou Saye of Air Senegal, Banjul office, confirmed the plane was unable to air -lift all the passengers Saturday and Sunday, saying that another plane had lift e d some of the passengers Monday while the remaining passengers were still waitin g for the airline to air-lift them.
