BADEA to hold board meeting in Khartoum

The Board of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) will hold its third meeting of the year 3-5 Oct. in Khartoum, Sudan, the bank said in a statement.

The meeting will be presided over by board chairman Yousif Bin Ibrahim Al Bassam.

During the meeting, the board will approve a new batch of financing of projects and technical assistance operations for several African countries.

At its first meeting for 2012, the board approved financing for projects in 16 African countries, worth US$82.855 million.

Also, at its second meeting, the board approved US$57.435 million, including US$55.500 million for 6 projects and US$1.935 million for 8 technical assistance operations.
