At the end of 2024, the Banque de Tunisie recorded an increase in operating income of 8.4% to 883.3 million dinars, compared with 814.8 million dinars in 2002. This increase is mainly due to interest (+10.6%).
Banking operating expenses went up by 10.7% from 336.8 million dinars to 373 million dinars.
As a result, net banking income reached 510.3 million dinars in 2024, compared to 477.9 million dinars in the previous year, an increase of 6.8% (+32.3 million dinars).
Customer loans (net of provisions) reached 6,077 million dinars, compared to 5,827 million dinars at the end of December 2023, up 4.3%.
Customer deposits grew by 15.4% from 5,803 million dinars to 6,695 million dinars, an increase of 891.8 million dinars.
This growth was mainly generated by the increase in time deposits by 28.2% (+508.5 million dinars) to a total of 2,309 million dinars and savings deposits by 12% (+245.4 million dinars).
In addition, outstanding special funds increased from 257.3 million dinars at 31 December 2023 to 181 million dinars at the same date in 2024.
