The concentrated renewable energy capacity for electricity generation in Tunisia reached 379 megawatts (MW) in 2019, against 115 MW in 2010.
According to data published by the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies Sunday, 63.3% of renewable energies are from wind through the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG), 20.4% in the form of photovoltaic solar energy (STEG with the National Agency for Energy Management) and 16.3% of the energy from hydropower provided by STEG.
Concentrated electric power represents 6.6% of the total power, against 3.2% recorded in 2010, according to the same source.
