In a statement issued on Sunday, UTICA stressed its awareness of the difficulties encountered, adding that discussions have recently been intensified with the government, the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) and the Tunisian Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions (APTBEF), in order to concretize the support measures for companies and professionals announced by the government.
In order to ensure a safe return to work, UTICA has emphasised the need to implement preventive measures, in accordance with the technical guides drawn up by the Institute of Health and Safety at Work (ISST) and the Directorate of Medical Inspection and Safety at Work and to ensure compliance with distancing measures and the provision of protective means.
The employers’ organisation has stressed that all its central, sectoral and regional structures will remain available to enterprises and professionals for guidance, advice and intervention where necessary, in partnership with the supervisory authorities, the structures of the Ministry of Social Affairs, regional authorities and municipalities.
