Emirates airline on Tuesday opened an office in Nouakchott, Mauritania, to contribute to promote and develop business and tourism within the framework of the strong ancient ties between Mauritania and the United Arab Emirates, the airline’s regional director, Ernest Dikoum said.
The Nouakchott-Dubai route will be exploited thanks to a partnership established with some airlines presently flying to the Mauritanian capital – Mauritania Airlines International (MAI), Sénégal Airlines and Royal Air Maroc (RAM).
The establishment of the airline in Nouakchott is within the framework of the strategy outlined by Emirates targeting total coverage of the African continent.
Emirates presently flies to several destinations in North, West, Southern and Eastern Africa
