The job fair organized by the Career Support & Professional Retraining Center of the Tunisian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry was a big success, attracting around 17,000 registrants and over 2,000 participants.
The Chamber’s Executive Director, Jörn Boussalmi, told Mosaïque FM that the event facilitated nearly 200 direct job interviews, aiming to provide young people with real professional opportunities that could lead to employment contracts.
He emphasized that such initiatives are based on mutual benefit and go beyond merely recruiting skilled labor for jobs abroad.
He explained that the forum brought together companies from various sectors, including mechanics, electronics, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and transport. Both German and Tunisian companies present were pursuing international expansion strategies.
He highlighted the recognition of Tunisian talent, especially in technical fields, and stressed the importance of language skills, particularly German, for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Kamal Ben Hamida, representing the association “Tuniplus,” told Mosaïque FM that the association supports young Tunisians seeking work in Germany by providing free guidance and assistance.
This support includes presenting available opportunities, helping prepare applications, obtaining diploma equivalencies, and facilitating integration into German society and the labor market.
He also noted that Germany now offers more opportunities than before, thanks to simplified procedures and an expansion of recruitment across multiple specialties.
Moreover, it is possible to work or look for a job even without a higher education degree, as long as applicants can demonstrate skills and strong German language proficiency.
