‘Libya lost more than US$20 billion in oil production during war’

Libya lost more than US$20 billion during the nine-month war that ended with the death of former leader Moummar Kadhafi when production and exports stopped,  according to the Libyan minister of Finance, Hassan Zaqlam.

In an interview on Sunday evening with the Libya public Television Mr. Zaqlam expressed satisfaction over the volume of oil exports which is now one million barrels. He said 850,000 barrels were exported while 150,000 barrels are refined for internal consumption.

The minister also announced measures to provide jobs and urged job seekers to report to the Labour ministry and submit documents justifying their qualifications
