A workshop on “African Youth and Employment: The Role of the Diaspora,” organized by the African Citizenship Department at the African U n ion (AU) and the Organisation for Libyan Youth, began in Tripoli, the Libyan cap i tal, on Sunday.
Participants are discussing migration, development plans, policies and programme s through the mobilisation of the continent’s resources to create job opportunit i es for youth, strengthen the role of Africa’s public institutions for the benefi t of the African youth.
Participants include the Secretary of the Libyan National Planning Council, Bech ir Zenbil, the Director of the Civil Society and African Citizenship Department a t the AU, Jymmy Odessa, and several members of various international civil organ i sations, as well as delegates from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)
country office in Libya, the General Union of Libyan Producers, the Arab-African
Council, the Organization of African Trade Union Unity and heads of diplomatic m i ssions accredited in Libya.
