Tunisia: 53% increase of tourism activity in Nabeul

After the unfavorable period experienced by the tourism sector in Tunisia, signs of recovery were recorded until the end of April in many parts of the country, including Nabeul with a 53.3% increase reported during this period.

A source at the regional commissioner for tourism in Nabeul-Hammamet told us that statistics concerning the four months of 2012 show a progress in all parameters.

Overnight stays totaled 169,036 against 113,546 for the same period last year.

As for arrivals, the number of tourists increased from 407,725 during the first four months in 2011, to 625,046 for the same months in 2012.

The occupancy rate in the Nabeul-Hammamet region reached 15% against 12% in 2011.
