Tunisia: Amen Bank and BT invest in medicines

The Arab Company for Drug Industries & Medical Appliances (SAIPH) has decided a 2nd capital increase of 30 MDT, which is added to the one decided in June 2021 in the amount of 4.5 MDT.

The whole should allow SAIPH to reach a total increase of the company’s capital, of 34,5 million dinars for the year 2021.

Tunisian banks such as the Amen Bank Group have contributed to this increase up to 14.21%, and the Bank of Tunisia up to 1.16%.

The 34.5 MD should allow the Tunisian manufacturer of drugs to finance the development plan already committed in Africa, and to seize opportunities for growth, both locally and internationally.

The Tunisian drug manufacturer has undertaken the establishment in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire of a pharmaceutical plant and an agency for the promotion and distribution of drugs, creating a 2nd platform to all sub-Saharan Africa.
