Tunisia: Amen Bank announces NBI of 286 million dinars at end September

Amen Bank achieved at the end of last September banking operating revenues of about 632.8 million dinars, compared to 674.2 million a year earlier, recording a decrease of 41.4 million dinars (-6.1%) compared to the same period in 2019.

As for bank operating expenses, they recorded a decline of 30 million dinars (-8%) to 346.7 million dinars.

Consequently, the Net Banking Income reached 286.1 million dinars at the end of September 2020, against 297.5 million a year earlier, down 3.9%.

The cost/income ratio stood at 43.7% at the end of the first nine months, compared with 39.5% for the same period in 2019, up 4.2 percentage points.

Customer loans, net of provisions and reserved agios, rose from 5.72 billion dinars at the end of December 2019 to 5.85 billion dinars at the end of last September, posting an increase of 131.1 million dinars (+2.3%).

Deposits and assets of customers amounted to 5.76 billion dinars, up 202.3 million dinars (+3.6% compared to December 31, 2019).

Long-term resources, from loans and special resources, reached 866.1 million dinars recording a decrease of 9.6 million dinars compared to December 31, 2019.

Product commissions saw a decline of 2.3 million dinars (-2.7%) compared to the same period in 2019.

This decrease is impacted by the measures taken by AMEN BANK to help its customers to cope with the pandemic by offering free services.
