Tunisia: ATB improves half-year NBI by 17% to more than TND 180 million

The Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB) recorded a net banking income of 181.8 million dinars, at the end of the first six months of 2023, compared with 154.8 million dinars for the same period in 2022, an increase of 17.4%.

Income from banking operations reached 379.3 million dinars at the end of June, compared with 316.6 million a year earlier, up 62.7 million dinars (+19.8%).

Banking operating expenses amounted to 197.5 million dinars, compared with 161.9 million dinars at June 30, 2022, an increase of 22%. The bank’s operating expenses came to 112 million dinars, compared with 100 million a year earlier.

Loans net of provisions and reserved agios stood at 5,421 million dinars at the end of June 2023, compared with 5,333 million the previous year.

Customer deposits amounted to 5,934 million dinars, compared with 6,109 million dinars at June 30, 2022.

Savings deposits reached 1,578 million dinars, compared with 1,473 million dinars at June 30, 2022, an increase of 105.5 million dinars (+7.1%).
