Tunisia: Bitaka invests in Morocco

Bitaka, Tunisian leading plastic, magnetic and smart cards Company, has just concretized its Maghreb ambitions.

Headed by Zied Tlemçani, the company has teamed up with a former manager of Morocco to make its first investment in Morocco.

This operation has targeted Marsa Telecom, a leading distributor of telecom operator Meditel, chaired by Saad BENDIDI, President of Meditel.

The latter has invested some 545 KDh for 1% stake in the target capital against 14.4 million Dirhams (MDH) for the Tunisian investor who now controls 20% of the capital.

The operation was conducted as part of a recapitalization reserved for new shareholders, increasing the capital of Marsa Telecom from 19 MDH to 34 MDH.
