Tunisia: BNA Bank makes half-yearly net profit of 67 million dinars

The Banque Nationale Agricole (BNA) has published its interim financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2020.

These statements show a half-yearly net profit of 66.8 million dinars, compared to 71.5 million at the end of June 2019, a decrease of 6.6%.

At the end of the first six months of the year, the bank achieved operating revenues of about 663.9 million dinars, compared to 623.7 million a year earlier, i.e. a growth of 6.4%.

This income is mainly composed of interest and similar income of 542.9 million dinars (+8%) and commissions of 61.6 million (+8.2%).

As for operating expenses, they rose from 317.8 million dinars at the end of June 2019 to 353 million dinars on June 30, 2010, up 11.1%.

To this end, net banking income (NBI) for the period rose slightly by 1.6% to 310.8 million dinars, compared to 305.9 million dinars a year earlier.

Taking into account 70 million dinars in provisions (+2.5%) and 102.4 million dinars in personnel costs (+4.5%), the operating result was almost stagnant (+0.3%) at the end of the first half of the year to 88 million dinars.
