Tunisia: BNP Paribas grants UBCI new credit line of € 10 million

The agreement signed in 2015 between UBCI and BNP Paribas Group on the establishment of a credit line of € 30 million was completed in June 2016 with a new line of € 10 million.

This line granted under advantageous terms a period of 5 years and dedicated to supporting the financing of companies operating on the Tunisian market shows the increasing commitment of BNP Paribas alongside UBCI on financing the real economy and demonstrates its confidence in Tunisia’s development prospects.

Both credit lines are added to the guarantee of EUR 40 million granted by BNP Paribas early 2015, totaling a budget of over 180 million dinars to strengthen and diversify the sources of financing of UBCI and its capacity to support Tunisian companies at a time when the country enters a pivotal phase of its economic transition.
