At the end of the third quarter of 2023, Carthage Cement achieved a total turnover of TND 322.8 million, up 23% compared to the same period of 2022.
Cement sales showed a positive trend, mainly due to a 26% increase in local sales (cement and clinker), from TND 198.4 to 249.5 million, and a 14% increase in export sales, from TND 41.2 to TND 46.8 million. Carthage Cement thus maintained its position as the leader of the cement sector in Tunisia.
Sales of aggregates rose by 35% to TND 16.4 million compared with the same period last year. Concrete sales decreased by 3% to TND 10.1 million, compared to TND 10.5 million in the previous year.
In addition, Carthage Cement continues to meet its obligations to financial institutions. As at September 30, 2023, total outstanding debt amounted to TND 366 million dinars, a decrease of 4%.
