Carthage Cement closed the year 2021 with a total turnover of 325 million dinars, an increase of 29% compared to a 2020 and 30% compared to 2019.
The cement company saw its revenue from export sales rise fourfold from 8.9 million dinars in 2020 to 47.6 million in 2021.
The annual production of clinker and cement went up 12% and 22% respectively compared to the same period of the previous year to reach 1.486 million tons of clinker and 1.782 million tons of cement.
This performance allowed Carthage Cement to maintain its leading position in the local market by achieving a 14% growth in local sales.
The company’s debt recorded a 5% decrease, at the end of December 2021, compared to December 31, 2020, to 412.7 million dinars.
It should be noted that the company has honored on time all its financial commitments due in 2021.
