The volume of expenditure of the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) as part of its contribution to covering the cost of care for people affiliated to the social security scheme reached 2,028 million dinars in 2019, Minister of Social Affairs Mohamed Trabelsi said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Government Palace in Kasbah, Trabelsi added that CNAM paid 43% of care expenses for the benefit of private health service providers, while 57% of these expenses were for public sector health facilities.
