Tunisia: COTUNACE achieves net profit of TND 4.7 million in 2022

The Compagnie Tunisienne pour l’Assurance du Commerce Extérieur (COTUNACE) said it made a net profit of TND 4.7 million in the financial year 2022, noting that the state’s contribution to the company’s capital is approximately 32.5%, according to the resolutions of the company’s ordinary general meeting held on June 15, 2023.

Founded in 1985, COTUNACE is an insurance company governed by the Tunisian Insurance Code. Its purpose is to provide Tunisian companies with both domestic (local market) and export (worldwide) credit insurance.

On this occasion, the General Meeting approved the proposal by the Board of Directors of COTUNACE to distribute dividends of 3 dinars per share, for a total of 795 thousand dinars. These dividends will be paid from September 13, 2023.

In addition to the State, COTUNACE’s capital is made up of several insurance and reinsurance companies (23%), Tunisian banks (21.3%) and the Compagnie Inter Arabe pour la Garantie des lnvestissements et des Exportations- Dhaman (23.2%).
