Tunisia: dollar drops below threshold of 2.900 dinars for 1st time in 7 months

After the euro, which has fallen below 3.300 dinars for the first time since November 7, 2018, it is now the turn of the US dollar to go below the threshold of 2.900 dinars against the Tunisian dinar, crossed for the first time on November 12, 2018.

According to the daily data of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) relating to the average exchange rates of the foreign currencies, the US dollar fell, at the end of the meeting of June 24, 2019, under the bar of 2,900 dinars and is now trading at 2.878 dinars.

The dinar thus raises its rating against the greenback at 5.8% from the beginning of the year, after a depreciation of 20% throughout the year 2018.
