Tunisia’s external debt servicing amount has reached 6.8 billion dinars at the end of October 2022, against 9.2 billion dinars at the same date last year, down about 2.4 billion dinars.
Expressed in euros, the burden of external debt of Tunisia is 2.1 billion euros (average monthly exchange rate 1 euro = 3.234 dinars), almost equivalent to the remittances by the Tunisian Diaspora over the same period (2.2 billion euros).
It should be remembered that the Finance Act for the year 2022 provides that the external debt servicing will reach 6.1 billion dinars at the end of December, divided into 4.5 billion dinars in principal and 1.6 billion in interest.
