Tunisia: flow of people and goods shows upward trend in Ras Jedir border crossing

The flow of people and goods is increasing at Ras Jedir border crossing, Director of the Customs office Omar Aref told TAP news agency.

One million arrivals and 720,000 departures were reported from early January to August 8, the official said, averaging 8,000 travelers per day. 575,000 cars entered the border crossing and a further 465,000 left.

Over 40,000 trucks crossed the border to Libya as part of export activities, representing a trade volume of more than 4 million dinars.
