Tunisia: forex reserves cover 100 days of imports, highest since December 2022

The Central Bank of Tunisia’s (BCT) foreign exchange reserves now cover 100 days of imports, the highest level since December 2022.

According to the BCT, net foreign assets at the end of last week were the equivalent of 23,134 million dinars, compared with 24,284 million dinars and 122 days of imports at the same time last year.

It should be noted that Tunisia’s foreign currency stock rose from 92 to 97 days of import on June 13, following the disbursement of the $500 million Afreximbank loan.
