Prime Minister Habib Essid chaired last Friday in Tunis a Cabinet meeting that looked at the reality of cooperation between Tunisia and France , leading partner in the sectors of trade, tourism and investment.
The meeting also learnt about France ’s contribution to the development process in Tunisia through funding and technical support in various vital sectors including agriculture, transport, vocational training, environment and energy.
It also reviewed the balance sheet of financial cooperation with the French Development Agency and the progress of projects it finances, which cost was € 224.7 million in 2015: € 155 million in sovereign loans and € 20 million in grants.
The PM stressed the need to strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between Tunisia and France at all levels, knowing that finances 1,350 companies in Tunisia and hosts about 8000 Tunisians on its land.
