Tunisia: Government works on 2.5% growth

We have learnt from reliable financial sources that the new government has already lowered its expectations and forecasts of GDP growth.

After accepting a finance law and a budget built on a growth scenario of 4.5%, the Interim Government of Hamadi Jbali agreed to review its ambitions down and is already working on the new hypothesis of only 2.5%, joining the projections of the largest international financial institutions, including the World Bank.

The new supplementary Finance Act to be submitted Monday, January 30, 2012, to the Constituent Assembly Commissions will, therefore, retain a more realistic assumption.
