Tunisia: industrial selling price index rises 8% in H1

The index of industrial selling prices increased by 7.7% (year-on-year) at the end of June 2018, against 7.2% in May, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced Monday.

This increase, explains the institute, comes mainly from the 9% rise in the prices of manufacturing industry products and prices of the extractive industry products due to higher prices of energy extraction products by 6.2%, despite the 2.7% drop in non-energy product prices.

As for the rise in the prices of manufacturing industry products, it is mainly due to the increase of the prices of the agro-food industry products by 7.6%, the chemical industry products by 14.4% and the mechanical and electrical industry products by 10%.
