Tunisia: inflation jumps to 6% in July

The Executive Board of the Central Bank of Tunisia, which met on Tuesday, noted, in a statement, the upward trend in inflation since last April, with a rate that peaked at 6% in July, against 5.7% a month earlier, due to higher prices of fresh food.

BCT said it expected the continuation of such pressure, especially with peak consumption during the summer vacation and tourist season.
