Tunisia’s inflation rate (base year 2010) stood year-on-year basis at 3.4% in April up from 3.3% in March and February, said the National Institute of Statistics (INS) in its monthly newsletter.
Exclusive of energy and food, the inflation rate in April reached 4.6%, said the INS.
This is due to the price increase in the food and beverage group (1.8%), the apparel and footwear group (8.1%), housing and household energy (4.6%), furniture and domestic appliances (5.3%), health (2.3%), transport and education (10.2%), restaurants and hotels (4.8%) and various services and products (6,2%).
