The 25th edition of the International Exhibition for Hotel and Restaurant Equipment, SIHER EXPO 2014, will be held from February 5 to 8, 2014 in Tunis.
The new edition of SIHER EXPO comes at a time when the Tunisian tourism, after 3 years of disturbances is poised to rebound.
The figures recorded in 2013 are encouraging since they are rapidly approaching those of the reference year 2010.
Indeed, 2013 has registered some 6,268,582 tourist arrivals, still down 9.2 % over 2010 entries (6,902,749), but 31% up compared to 2011-2012.
Revenue and total overnight stays are also up compared with the last two years, despite terrorist threats, insecurity and the long political crisis in the summer and fall of 2013.
On the other hand, the Tunisian tourism benefits from a wave of sympathy around the world following the adoption of the constitution, the formation of the new government of Mr. Mehdi Jomaa and the appointment of new Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Amel Karboul.
