Tunisia: Launch of SME Mentoring Initiative ”Forsa”

The “Forsa” (opportunity) initiative embodying the Deauville Partnership, initiated in 2011 by the G8 to help the governments of Arab Spring revolutions to meet the new expectations of their people was launched.

Mehdi Jomaa, Minister of Industry said the first stage of “Forsa” program should be extended to maximum of Tunisian SMEs due to the new challenges for the domestic industry. He emphasized that the goal is to guide and support SMEs in equity positioning and partnership in markets they know best.

As a reminder, this program revolves around technical assistance activities for capacity building and transfer of good practice in mentoring and support to SMEs.

The initiative involves building mentoring relationships conducted by the G8 countries, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, for the benefit of at least 250 entrepreneurs from concerned Arab countries (Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia and Yemen).
