Tunisia: Meuble Intérieurs posts half-year profit of 1.3 million dinars

Atelier du Meuble Intérieurs (SAM) has published its interim financial statements as of June 30, 2025.

The company generated a net profit of 1.3 million dinars, compared to 1.93 million dinars for the same period in 2024, marking a decrease of nearly 30%.

Half-yearly revenue stood at 12 million dinars, down 4% from the 12.6 million dinars recorded on June 30, 2024.

This change primarily reflects a decrease in export sales (472.8 thousand dinars compared to 1.4 million a year earlier), partially offset by an increase in local sales (10.9 million dinars, compared to 10.2 million dinars).

Operating profit came in at 1.8 million dinars, compared to 2.4 million dinars at the end of June 2024. This contraction is explained by the decline in revenue combined with an increase in depreciation and provision charges (513.7 thousand dinars compared to 378.9 thousand dinars).

As of June 30, 2025, the company’s total assets amount to 30.7 million dinars, up from 28.2 million dinars in December 2024. Equity reached 14.5 million dinars, confirming a robust financial structure.

However, the company recorded a decrease in its net cash, showing a negative balance of 339 thousand dinars, compared to positive cash of 983 thousand dinars at the end of June 2024.

This change is mainly due to pressures on working capital requirements, linked to the increase in customer receivables, which reach nearly 14 million dinars.

Finally, despite a decline in its half-year results, the company continues to show satisfactory profitability and a healthy financial position.

The company, which holds several subsidiaries in Tunisia, France, and Côte d’Ivoire, remains focused on a strategy of diversification and internationalization.
