The new version of the Investment Code will be ready late next May and should be subject to the approval of the parliament by the end of the first 100 days of the government, before the end of May, said Yassine Brahim, Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation at a press briefing on Thursday in Tunis.
It is expected, according to the minister, that the new version will be adopted by the parliament next November.
The Minister announced, in this context, that the work on the simplification and clarification of various articles of the code have already started with concerned ministries and this new version will be mainly based on the principle of freedom of investment, encouraging entrepreneurship, improving the competitive capacity of companies, strengthening their added value and ensuring an integrated and fair development between different regions of the country.
