382 projects valued at 727 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) are blocked in priority regions, Yassine Brahim, the Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation said at a press briefing Thursday in Tunis.
According to the minister, these projects account for 87.2% of all those blocked at the national level, noting that among the priorities of his ministry for the first 100 days of government, accelerating the realization of these projects in particular in such priority areas as Sidi Bouzid, Medenine, Kairouan and Kasserine.
Yassine Brahim cited several reasons for the blocking, including mainly land problems related to expropriation.
He noted, in this regard, that the department has conducted a thorough diagnosis and prepared a list of these blocked projects, thanks to visits to different regions.
A relevant report has been developed and discussed during inner cabinet meetings where a set of measures and procedures have been made. The objective is to try to complete project works within the agreed time.
