Tunisia: new phosphate plant in Skhira soon

A new phosphate plant whose capital is 90 million dinars held at 70% by both Tunisian companies, CPG and GCT will be set up soon.

This new plant would employ 500 people and develop Tunisian exports of phosphates and derivatives.

All production of this project would be sold on the Indian market. The plant Tifret requires 1.4 million tons of phosphate per year, or 20% of the national production.

The CPG is also responsible for supplying this new unit in accordance with an agreement signed in this regard. The project covers an area of 25 hectares, near the phosphoric acid unit of GCT in Skhira.
