Tunisian olive oil exports are expected to reach 200 thousand tons in the current season, based on production ranging from 260 thousand tons to 280 thousand tons, said CEO of the National Oil Office, Chokri Bayoudh.
Revenues are expected to reach about 2 billion dinars, Bayoudh added in a statement to TAP, on the sidelines of the start of the program to support agricultural professional structures promoting olive growing in the Mid-West and North-West.
Olive harvest made a 12% progress, with 30 thousand tons of olives picked up and the pressure of 5 thousand tons of olive oil, he said, affirming that picking will accelerate in the next days.
