The One Tech Group secured a financing of 9 million euros from the European Investment Bank (EIB). The company’s headquarters hosted the signing of the financing contract sealed on December 09, 2021.
The package is in addition to the 21 million euros already granted to One Tech in 2017. The financial windfall provided by the EIB will support the Group in its investments in research, development and innovation.
The loan will also give the group a free hand to strengthen its production capacity.
The One Tech Group has improved its performance thanks to the initial loan, granted four years ago.
Indeed, the group has been able to strengthen its positioning in the European and American markets while creating 1,300 jobs, 38% of which are occupied by women.
In this way, it has doubled its turnover.
After the signing, EIB Vice President Mourinho Felix said, “supporting development and innovation is a major priority for the EIB. Our mission is to create attractive financial conditions for private sector companies to help develop the Tunisian economy and boost competitiveness.
We are proud to support Tunisian companies, such as OneTech Group, which is an inspiring success story for Tunisia and the region as a whole.”
This project is fully in line with the stated objectives of the European Union and the EIB, which aim to promote the economic resilience of the European Union’s neighboring countries. It is also part of the Horizon 2020/InnovFin program for innovative companies, which is co-financed by the European Commission.
