Tunisia: trade balance stands at -14 653.8 MD (INS)

Tunisia’s trade balance stood at -14 653.8 MD during the eleven months of the year 2021, against -11 666.6 MD in the same period of 2020, the INS said in its note on “Foreign Trade at Current Prices” Thursday.

This balance results from the rise in exports (+20.4%) and imports (+21.7%). Similarly, the coverage rate has lost 0.8 points compared to the same period of 2020 to stand at 74.2%.

Exports posted an increase of 20.4%, from January to November 2021, to 42,069.9 million dinars, against a 13.4% drop to 34,950.4 MD in 2020.

However, imports whose value is much higher saw a larger increase of 21.7%, to 56,723.4 MD, against a decrease of 19.9%, to 46,617 MD, last year.
