Tunisia: Public enterprises’ debt to the state stands at 11 billion dinars at end of 2022

The outstanding debt owed to the state by 43 public entities reached TND 10.7 billion at the end of 2022, according to the report on state-owned enterprises published by the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, January 10.

This represents an increase of 21.8% compared to 2021 and 41% compared to 2020.

On the other hand, the claims of these public entities on the State will amount to TND 7 billion, at the end of December 2022, compared to TND 6.9 billion in 2021, up 1.9%.

As a result, the difference between the debts and receivables of public entities will show a balance of TND 3.6 billion at the end of 2022, compared with TND 1.8 billion a year earlier, up 95%.
