Tunisia: SETCAR’s SAYARA wins 4.6-MTD bus contract for SRTN

The Nabeul Regional Transport Company (SRTN), which ended the 2021 financial year (2022 has not yet been published) with a deficit of TND 13.7 million, recently celebrated the reinforcement of its bus fleet with great fanfare, even in the presence of the Minister of Transport, Rabi Majidi.

On December 29, the Public Procurement Observatory announced that SAYARA had won the regional operator’s tender for the purchase of eight regular urban buses for a sum of more than TND 4.6 million.

SAYARA, part of Ferid Abbes’ SETCAR’s group, has been the exclusive dealer of Volvo buses in Tunisia since 1972 and is the leader in its sector in Tunisia.

Another contract for the purchase of 10 articulated buses was also declared unsuccessful by the Public Procurement Observatory in the same publication.
