Tunisia: sit-in lifted at commercial port of Gabes

The sit-in observed for over a week by guards and boatmen in the port of Gabes was lifted Sunday, December 11, 2011. Ships were able to enter and leave the port, thus marking the resumption of activities.

The sit-in caused a crisis, particularly, in domestic gas in several governorates of Tunisia and hampered the operations of filling gas cylinders in the four gas conditioning plants in Gabes.
