Tunisia: SOMOCER more than doubled its profits in 2021

Ceramics manufacturing company SOMOCER published its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2021 as they will be submitted for approval to the Ordinary General Meeting to be held on June 22, 2022.

These statements show a net profit of 1.4 million dinars, against a profit of 650,000 dinars in 2020, a growth of 120%.

The company’s revenues amounted to 94.4 million dinars as of December 31, 2021, against 82.7 million a year earlier, posting an increase of about 14%, including 57.1 million local sales and 10.3 million sales to export.

As for operating expenses, they amounted to 85.1 million dinars, against 81.1 million at the end of last December, up 5%.

Consequently, the operating income is up sharply by 300% compared to 9.8 million dinars, against 2.5 million in 2020. However, the burden of net financial charges weighs heavily on the result of the year. These charges amount to 12.2 million dinars in 2021 against 13.6 million a year ago.
